Summer Arts Program for High School Students
Poetry Out Loud County Finals
On Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., Madera County Arts Council will be hosting the Madera County Finals Competition for Poetry Out Loud at Circle Gallery, located at 1653 N. Schnoor, Suite 113, Madera, CA 93637. Students from Madera High School, Madera South High School, Liberty High School, Glacier High School and Voyager Secondary School will be competing, the winner will move on to the state finals competition in Sacramento!
About the Competition:
The National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation have partnered with the California Arts Council to support 2018 Poetry Out Loud, a FREE high school program which encourages the nation’s youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. This dynamic program helps high school students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, learn about their literary heritage, and compete for more than $100,000 in awards.

Miniatures Reception
Join us Thursday, November 16th, 2017 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. for a fun evening of art and meet our Circle Gallery Artists!
We will also be honoring our three local students, Cymone Tyson, Emil Emanuel and Cecilia Cantu, who received scholarships to attend the prestigious California State Summer School for the Arts program!
This exhibition features smaller framed artworks along with a selection of unframed prints, handmade holiday cards, ceramics, custom jewelry and more!
