Club YES
Club YES (Youth Education and Enrichment
at School) is an after-school program run by the Madera County Office of
Education. Elementary and Middle Schools participate in this program
throughout Madera County. The Madera County Arts Council recruits, trains
and assigns each visiting artist to a Club YES participating school. Some
residencies include but are not limited to the following visual art and
literary art topics; ceramics, still-life, watercolor, printing, drawing,
creative writing, storybook illustration, architecture, and mixed media.
Visiting Artists are rotated to each Club YES participating school
throughout the academic school year. Each visiting artist’s residency
addresses Visual and Performing Arts Standards adopted by the state of
California in January 2004.
